Albert Jagger Limited, the leading manufacturer, and supplier of commercial vehicle components is celebrating 135 years of business. Founded in 1887, Albert Jagger was known as ‘Makers of Coach and Motor Body Fittings’. Fast forward 135 years and the company are now associated with innovation, excellent service, and the highest quality products for vehicles of all types.

An expansive range of products covering everything from body hardware to hinges and fasteners, has ensured distribution across 70 countries over the last 135 years. The versatility and flexibility of operations means our portfolio of products can be used in a multitude of applications from commercial vehicles through to aerospace.

Albert Jagger has been family-owned since 1945, with the fourth generation involved today. Championing innovation and forward thinking has allowed us to maintain position as market leaders by using the latest technologies and equipment to develop the next generation of hardware.

So, what have Albert Jagger done for the transport, industrial and marine industries over the years?

Knowledge
With 135 years of history, we wouldn’t be in the position we are if we hadn’t looked after and listened to our customers. We continue to work with our customers to ensure we have a deep understanding of the ever-changing industries.

Innovation
We have been championing innovation and forward thinking to push the boundaries of what we can achieve. One of the ways we maintain our position as market leaders is by trying new things and thinking outside the box.

Over the years we have designed some revolutionary products, including the Antiluce™ fastener, a staple product which has seen vast success over the years. Originally designed for the dropside vehicle market, Antiluce™ fasteners are now used in a wide range of applications, covering all industries.

British-Made
To future-proof the business, Albert Jagger teamed up with the Manufacturing Technology Centre back in 2019 to deploy 5S, lean and six sigma to bring the manufacture of products, back to Britain.

Following widespread disruption over recent years, the impact on the supply chain has resulted in delayed deliveries, stalled production, and price increases. By reshoring back to the UK, Albert Jagger have been able to create jobs, reduce lead times, lower carbon footprint, and provide continuity of supply through flexible production.

From coach lamps to antiluce fasteners, Albert Jagger looks forward to what the next 135 years of business will hold.
