Where it all began…
1887 was an eventful year… The world would be introduced to the mastermind detective, Sherlock Holmes, people would celebrate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria’s reign, and a Manchester artist would be born, Laurence Stephen Lowry.
The very same year Albert Jagger Limited was established…
Makers of coach and motor body fittings
At a time where milk cost 1 1/2d and bread would set you back 3d, Mr Albert Jagger bought 719 square yards in Centaur Works for £776.6.0d. By the end of 1906, Albert Jagger Limited was making a profit of £644.9.3d.
Lieut. Commander Douglas R Cooper bought Albert Jagger Limited in 1945 at the end of the second World War. The business remains family-owned with the fourth generation involved today.
135 years later, associated with innovation, excellent service, and the highest quality products, Albert Jagger Limited is still leading the way.
